Ayahuasca is a mind-expanding mixture of two plants: the ayahuasca vine and the leaves of the chakruna plant. The leaves contain DMT, a substance that is considered a hard drug; the vine ensures that this active substance is not broken down in the stomach. Consumed in the right proportions, Ayahuasca will bring the user in a trance and cause hallucinations.
