Climate weekend

Free activities at the interactive exhibition Raad van de Raaf

Let yourself be amazed at the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam during this final weekend of Climate Week. On November 15 and 16, take part in one of the many free activities in the interactive exhibition Raad van de Raaf (Council of the Raven). Cook delicious dishes and snacks in Kuluk's kitchen or join a museum docent who will guide you through the exhibition. Want to do your bit for the climate right now? Make a poster for the climate at home, at school, or at after-school care and send it to us. Your poster will be displayed in the Lichthal throughout the climate weekend! Or come along during the climate weekend and make a poster with your message for the climate in the museum. See the full program below.

Book your tickets on this page. Please note, these activities are in Dutch.

Poster competition: Poster for the planet

Everyone has something to contribute, and every little bit helps. Make a poster for the planet at home or at school and send it to the Wereldmuseum Amsterdam. All posters submitted will be displayed in the museum's iconic Lichthal during Climate Weekend on November 15 and 16.

What should your poster look like?

  • Your poster should show what you think is important for a better world and encourage people to take action for the climate.
  • The poster competition is a design competition for children aged 6 to 13.

Send your poster to Wereldmuseum Amsterdam, attn. poster competition, Linnaeusstraat 2, 1092 CK Amsterdam, or send a photo to onderwijs@wereldmuseum.nl.

About Raad van de Raaf

Interactive exhibition for climate heroes. What’s going on at Wereldmuseum Amsterdam? Feathers are scattered everywhere and you can hear the sound of melting ice. In Raad van de Raaf, you'll meet Raymi from the Netherlands and Ivalu from Greenland. They’re members of the Raad van de Raaf — a group of children taking action for the climate. Raymi and Ivalu introduce you to people from Greenland, Peru, Morocco, and Bangladesh, who show how they live with climate change. How do they adapt, and how resilient are you? The new children’s exhibition is full of hands-on activities! Test your balance in hunter Lars’ kayak, ride on Malik’s Greenlandic dogsled, listen to the melting ice caps, and gather ideas for a better world. For everyone aged 6 and up!
